Each year hundreds of cats, dogs and other animals in the local area end up homeless. It is left to a few hard-working animal lovers to find them a new home...
At Animal Welfare (Furness) we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome hundreds of cats, dogs and other animals each year in the Furness and South Lakes areas.

No matter how many cats and dogs we find homes for each year, there are always more waiting for our help and no matter how many we take in, if they are healthy, they are never put to sleep.

We provide compassionate advice on caring for all animals and our work relies on your support. Whether you prefer to make a kind financial donation, donate surplus items, or give a little of your time volunteering to help our team, you really will make a huge difference.

Pets At Home Foundation Grant

Thanks to the Pets At Home Foundation for their grant of £11,000 to help with our feral cat project and our vets fees, as we spend over £3,000 per month to ensure all animals at Animal Welfare (Furness) are given the care they deserve.

We are looking for volunteers to join our Coniston to Barrow team. The 21.1 mile walk from Coniston to Hawcoat Park Sports Club, Barrow in Furness this year is taking place on Saturday 13 May 2023.
